7 Inventive Ways to Use Twitter Circle

Everyone now has access to Twitter Circle. If you haven't previously had access to Twitter Circle (like many Twitter features, it was released to a smaller group first), you should now be able to use it. Here are 7 inventive ways you could use Twitter Circle.

What It Is

Twitter Circle is a way to send Tweets to select people, and share your thoughts with a smaller crowd. You choose who’s in your Twitter Circle, and only the individuals you’ve added can reply to and interact with the Tweets you share in the circle."
Source: Twitter

#1: Create An "Inner Circle"

You could offer a select group of people the opportunity to be a part of your inner circle, where you share tips, tricks, best practices, insider knowledge, etc. Monetized or not.

#2: Tweet to a Niche

If you tweet about topics that are pretty different from each other (like crypto and parenting, for example) you could create a circle for one of those niche groups. Someone who follows you for crypto may not care what you have to say about sleep training.

#3: Family & Friends (Include or Exclude)

Include ONLY friends and family, to share personal/sensitive things, while maintaining your public persona. In other cases, you may want everyone except for them to see the tweet (maybe you do something you don't want/need them to see).

#4: A Test Audience

Before tweeting to a larger audience, maybe you want to create a circle of representative folks. Test things there before releasing to the public. If it works with these 150 (or fewer) people then it may be worth unleashing it upon the masses.

#5: Early Access/Preview

Similar to an Inner Circle, you could provide early access or previews (sort of like a "build in public") to a smaller group. Maybe it's a perk for them, or maybe they've agreed to provide feedback before you release to everyone.

#6: Shitposting

Let's be honest. We sometimes just wanna let out some BS that has nothing to do with the rest of our Twitter content. Maybe it's politics, pet peeves, or general unpleasantness. Do you have a subset of followers that you're comfortable sharing that with?

#7: An Added Bonus/Supplementary Content

Not quite the same as inner circle or early access, this could be an added bonus to early buyers/subscribers. Got an eBook? The first 10 people to buy it will get access to a built-in-public bonus chapter. Or a look at an upcoming course.
